A visit to the zoo
It’s a special day today. My husband is taking a second morning off in a row and we head off to Lone Pine. This will be Spike’s first visit to a zoo that she can remember. We did take her to Guangzhou Zoo during our visit to China for mama y bebe last year but she would have been too little to remember. Booboo sleeps from 7pm through to 2am. Then again until 6am. I really need to try a dummy at 2am because she only feeds for a short moment and really wants to snuggle into me. With Spike also up at 6am sharp and the sun shining we decide to head down to Main beach. The morning is just perfect and the drive down to the beach is great fun. While booboo sleeps soundly, we sing the Old Grand Duke of York as fast and as loud as we can, to Spike’s delight. Spike thinks it’s hilarious and loves the boisterous nonsense

This weekend has been good. On Saturday morning both girls were still sleeping at 6.24am when we woke up with a start. As we have not had to set the alarm for the past eight weeks, it became a mad rush to get the girls up and to the swimming pool for Spike’s 7am lesson. Spike is now settling into her swim routine and waved to watching mum and Booboo at every opportunity.
